Allow yourself to relax...
The Paddler's Inn is a very magical place. Part of this can be felt through wilderness immersion, and part through the health service that Bruce offers. Bruce is a certified Jin Shin Do® Acupressure Therapist, an advanced Esalen Massage Practitioner, and he includes Deep Tissue Massage in his work.
He is also a graduate of the Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy two year training program. Bruce has had an active private practice for 10 years, and worked seasonally full time on the bodywork crew at the Hollyhock Retreat center on Cortes Island for six years.
Jin Shin Do® ~ Acupressure Therapy
Jin Shin Do® Acupressure combines ancient Japanese acupressure techniques, with Chinese medical acupuncture theory, modern day psychology, and Taoist philosophy, hence the often heard phrase body~mind~and soul, and transformational bodywork.
Unlike western medical concepts which would define and divide us into separate unrelated aspects... physicians for physical ailments, psychotherapists for psychological ailments, and perhaps church for spiritual ailments, the new paradigm and understanding of health is revealing complex interrelationships between our minds, bodies, and spirits, something that eastern medical science has known for thousands of years.
Jin Shin Do® Acupressure combined with wilderness immersion offers you an opportunity to experience transformational bodywork. For lack of better description transformational bodywork is like having a three dimensional experience of how you're doing physically, emotionally, and spiritually, perhaps with some understanding of what some of the interrelationships are, and what some of your pathways toward personal evolution are.
Explore how your mind effects your body and vice versa. Curiosity is a great fuel.
If you are interested in making an appointment for an acupressure and/ or massage session with Bruce, it is best to arrange ahead of time. Sessions are provided as time considerations of other guests permits.
